How to use the fabrics in our collection

Upholstery Fabric:
Simultaneously soft and durable, our upholstery fabric is ideal for covering items of furniture.

This fabric is printed using a sublimation dye technique. This means that that the colors are impregnated into the fabric, so that they won’t fade or wear with time or exposure to sunlight.

With a Martindale rating of +/- > 60,000 and a pilling, rub fastness (dry and wet), and lightfastness rating of +/- 4-5, this fabric meets the standard for contract upholstery fabric. It can therefore be used for commercial projects as well as private homes.

The prints are sharp and vibrant on this incredibly soft yet durable fabric. It’s truly the perfect material for transforming ordinary furniture items into eye-catching, statement pieces for your interior.

Silks:
We offer two types: a semi-transparent silk limone or a more opaque, shiny silk satin. These fabrics are ideal for clothing, curtains and cushions (silk satin only).

For curtains, please note: the fabric panels can be ordered in any length, and can be cut and hung to size.

The fabric panels can be hung next to each other, however, the prints are not designed to align across multiple panels in the width dimension. They should be seen as individual lengths of fabric with a width of 135 cm (53”) for silk limone and 130 (or 51”) for silk satin.

For these reasons, we encourage our customers to use our silk fabrics for:

• fabric paneling/curtains to place around a crib or bed (please note that both of our silk fabrics are semi-transparent, which makes their purpose more decorative than functional)
• room dividers
• stretched or hanging wall deco/art
• (temporary) window decoration (silk is a natural fiber, so placing the curtains in direct sunlight will cause the prints to fade over time).

Consider alternating our printed panels with a solid, coordinating color fabric.
