Amy Butler, the most inspiring of surface pattern designers, just launched a new online magazine called Blossom. It's full of creative inspiration and speaks to flower lovers like myself.

Amy explains: "I am so excited to announce the release of my free, online magazine! This is a new journey for me and I want you to come along! 'Blossom' is a visual journal that's all about loving your life and living it fully and authentically. Filled with loads of creative ideas and inspirations, Blossom celebrates our creative expression and passions; our mantra is 'Create Love, Be Kind and Express Beauty' ...

The magazine is a spirited voice for creativity, heart and soul. It's my dream to support folks in getting in touch with the beauty in their lives and in empower with love, and help people connect with the creative perfection of being who they really are while giving them support and inspiration to get in touch with doing what they love. I want folks to understand that being connected to what they love, it's the greatest gift they can give the world and themselves."

Nicely put. I'm sure I'll be filled with inspiration and awe, reading through this latest gem from the Great Amy Butler.

The second issue of MOYO, the world's first online magazine devoted to surface pattern design, published by Rachael Taylor and Beth Nicholls, was also released yesterday. It's literally packed with information and features interviews with Khristian A. Howell and Marie Perkins of the Print and Pattern blog. And the next issue will feature ... guess who? Amy Butler.

So, lots of reading to do this weekend.

With all these great online magazines coming out, I get inspired to start my own ... But then I realize I haven't even been very good at keeping up my blog lately!! I do have a good excuse though. I was asked to submit a design proposal for a major public space that's being renovated here in Vught. So I've been slaving over four different concepts. The concepts themselves were the easy part; describing my ideas in Dutch was the challenge! Anyway, the proposal is being reviewed this morning, so keep your fingers crossed. It would be kind of a dream come true if I could be part of this project!
