Description

The sample package includes the fabric samples, a design description and the material specifications.

Ellie says about the design: “With their wings spread, their bodies prone, birds glide through the open landscape, experiencing the scale and spaciousness of their natural surroundings and feeling an enormous sense of freedom and possibility.

While the suggested horizon line in the background of this print calls on our own sense of freedom, possibility and adventure, the river motif in the foreground provides a metaphor for how we can move through the landscapes of our own lives: constantly changing, without ever abandoning ourselves. All of the movement and change that takes place in the river belongs to one journey, one gesture, one sound and one self.

My hope is that ‘From Source to Sea’ will bring the viewer a sense of calm, harmony, contentment and freedom. I hope she will be reminded of the course and the beautiful landscape of her own life, and the idea that she can feel at home - anytime, anywhere - when she feels at home in her own heart.”
