Dark Floral Wallpaper Transforms Entryway & Staircase
One of the most rewarding moments as an artist is seeing your work take on a new life in someone else’s hands — especially when that someone really seems to understand what you had originally intended.
When I saw interior designer Sean Carter’s stunning use of our “A Golden Age” wallpaper in a Lakewood, Ohio entryway, which is featured on our home page and recently appeared in Cleveland Magazine, I was blown away.

For this project, Sean thoughtfully interpreted his client’s wishes. I’m so honored that he selected our wallpaper to help bring their vision to life. That’s how “A Golden Age” found the kind of home I had hoped it would! I love how Sean frames it with dark blue paneling and allows it to travel up the staircase.
For my part, I always try to create wallpaper that feels painterly and immersive, like art you can live inside. In Sean’s hands, that dream was realized in a way that feels both bold and deeply refined.
The way he paired “A Golden Age” with rich color, sculptural furnishings, and thoughtful lighting creates a multi-layered, sensory experience that joyfully announces your arrival at a threshold between outdoors and in, and says, in no uncertain terms, “Welcome to this beautiful home.”

As an artist, moments like this remind me why I do what I do. Once a design leaves my studio, it begins a new story, takes on a life of its own, and is shaped by the people and places that welcome it into their homes. For me, seeing this wallpaper become part of such a cohesive and dramatic interior is a dream come true.
