Becoming Wild + From Source to Sea on Velvet Yoga Cushion (30 x 15 cm)

Here, Ellie’s original artworks ‘Becoming Wild’ in Wavy Blue and ‘From Source to Sea’ in Parakeet are printed on our polyester velvet upholstery fabric using a sublimation dye technique. This means the fabric becomes impregnated with the pigments, and won’t fade or wear with time or exposure to sunlight.. The fabric is then meticulously hand-sewn into a gorgeous 30 x 15 cushion with chartreuse piping and an embroidered logo tag in the bottom right corner.

In the 'Becoming Wild' design light and color transition gradually over the surface of this large-scale pattern of peacock feathers, symbolizing a fundamental transformation in the way the peacock sees himself. The sparkle and spectacle of his feathers open up to reveal the warm glow of a new, true and wild beauty within: the beauty of being for his own sake of being, rather than for being seen.

In the 'From Source to Sea' design a glittering lacework of lines traces the path of an imagined river, as seen from a bird’s eye view. This motif provides a metaphor for how we can move through the landscapes of our own lives: constantly changing, without ever abandoning ourselves.
